The City of Edinburgh CouncilPartnership Development OfficerThe South West Neighbourhood team are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Partnership Development Officer to help ensure the effective development and promotion of two Neighbourhood Partnerships (NPs). They will contribute to community engagement activities in addition to supporting effective policy development and strategic planning within a community planning context. Support the central and/or local co-ordination and delivery of neighbourhood partnership arrangements across the city as required, including developing effective linkages between strategic and local levels, information systems and the management of specific corporate or joint agency initiatives.
Contribute to the development and implementation of local community plans and the monitoring and evaluation of related projects, programmes and processes.
Support the involvement and engagement of communities in local partnership structures and processes, including local planning and servicing arrangements as required.
Organising, supporting and servicing community engagement activities and planning meetings and events as required.
Assist in the development of capacity building programmes to ensure the effective engagement of all stakeholders within community planning processes at a local level.
Contribute to the development, implementation and monitoring of regeneration policy and programme management in accordance with National programme requirements, Council Standing Orders and agreed outcomes.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Liaise and provide information and advice to senior officers, external partners, community representatives and elected members.
Assist in the preparation of reports and/ or reviews as required
Analyse, summarise, report and present papers on a range of statistical and other subjects for discussion on issues that have a direct bearing on local governance and regeneration policy, ensuring complex issues are communicated effectively, taking account of the needs of each audience.
Undertake policy development work on key priorities within the field of local governance and regeneration.
Maintain a good knowledge of community planning and governance policy developments nationally and promote good practice across the work of the Council and with partners.
