Basingstoke and Deane Borough CouncilPrincipal Planning Officer (Part Time Temporary)A vacancy has arisen for a temporary part time principal planning officer (18.5 - 27.5 hours a week) to cover for the current post holders maternity leave. This is a key post within the Planning Development Section managing both a case load of major planning applications and guiding a team of planning officers with their own caseload. The Planning Development Team continues to develop and change in response to the Development Management agenda and being aware of this agenda is critical. You will need to demonstrate that you can prioritise your workloads and deliver quality outcomes.
A recognised degree or postgraduate qualification in Planning and relevant experience at senior level will be essential as well as evidence of excellent customer care and communication skills. Experience of managing and developing staff would be ideal.
