North Somerset CouncilSenior Planning Enforcement and Compliance Monitoring OfficerIf you would like to come and help out a busy, high profile team handling and investigating a wide range of planning enforcement cases, then we would really like to hear from you.
Depending on qualifications, knowledge, ability and experience we can appoint at either the Compliance Monitoring Officer (JG5) or Senior Planning Enforcement Officer (JG7) grade.
We would like you to have :
• For the Senior Planning Enforcement Officer level significant experience of enforcement of legislation or a degree in Town and Country planning or equivalent with some relevant experience.
• For the Compliance Monitoring Officer level at least 3 GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent) including Maths and English Language or two A levels
• Relevant investigative or planning experience and/or knowledge of planning or enforcement law
• Have commitment to quality standards and customer care
• Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Be familiar with the use of computer systems
• Skills in dealing with confrontational situations.
