Hampshire County CouncilAssistant Transport PlannerWorking within the Traffic and Transport Team for Central Hampshire, you'll deal with a wide range of activities including the development and delivery of transport schemes contributing to the Local Transport Plan.
Your main focus will be delivering transport solutions to a wide range of transport issues affecting rural and market town communities. Consultation with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and partners will be necessary to develop and secure support for schemes and initiatives.
A good communicator you will be educated to A' level standard or equivalent, with an enthusiasm and commitment to helping solve Hampshire's transport challenges.
Job purpose
Contribute to the development of transport policies and strategies for all travel modes in order to promote the implementation of transport initiatives and achieve a change in travel behaviour.
