Bid Manager

NM Group is a leading international provider of power line engineering products to the electricity energy sector.

We utilise mapping and surveying equipment on helicopters and aeroplanes worldwide and develop innovative engineering solutions to help utilities maximise the use of their assets.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a hardworking, dedicated Bid Manager to join a fast paced growing company based near Woking Surrey on a permanent basis. We are looking for a motivated individual to become part of a fast paced bidding and project management team who will be responsible for researching, collating and submitting bids from inception through to submission. The successful candidate may also be required from time to time to manage and service some of the company’s accounts so should have demonstrable project and account management experience, ideally with a relevant degree or industry experience.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the production of pre-qualification questionnaires, EOI’s, supplier registrations and general bid / sales support administration
  • Working on wide-ranging tenders, producing winning, persuasive bids
  • Ability to review and understand the bidding process
  • Accountability for bid standards and guidelines
  • Contributing to the total effectiveness of the department, communicating openly, solving problems proactively, offering creative ideas and working as a positive engaged team member
  • Serving as an ambassador for best practice bid management
  • Planning and managing the bid from inception to closure
  • Developing and managing the bid plan to support the activity and resources
  • Managing relationships including internal and external team members, subject matter experts, Senior Project Manager, Executives, Technical Lead, Engineering Director
  • Supporting the development of new systems for ensuring on-going quality and consistency
  • Responsibility for bid data capture and sharing lessons learnt across the department
  • Developing standard bid responses for the information library, ensuring its timeliness, access, clarity and consistency

 Desired Experience

  • HNC / HND or Degree in a relevant discipline
  • Experience in transmission engineering and or Geospatial data application and practices
  • Demonstrable project management experience

Required Experience:

  • Familiarity and awareness of the geospatial industry and LiDAR
  • Strong command of both spoken and written English (mandatory)
  • Minimum two years' experience in bidding and account management
  • Ability to demonstrate experience successfully managing large bids and accounts
  • Ability to demonstrate creativity and innovation through the production of bespoke Client documentation
  • Ability to plan and execute bid planning workshops with multiple stakeholder groups as required

 We are looking for a motivated individual with very strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities and attention to detail with good organisation skills and ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
